The Forest/Stream Interface

Healthy streams contribute to healthy woodlands and the wildlife in them. Dr. Casey Bradshaw Wilson, Co-Director of the Allegheny College Watershed Conservation Research Center, will teach us about her stream restoration projects along the Woodcock Creek, a tributary of the French Creek. Dr. Wilson specializes in freshwater ecosystems and their inhabitants: fish, aquatic insects, mussels, amphibians, and reptiles. Learn about riparian plantings, fish habitat, invasive species affecting streams, etc. Bring your boots!
