A genre-exploding dark comedy about a newly married young woman starting her life with an unprepared, bumbling husband. As the heat, nosy neighbors, and her lack of domestic skills begin to take their toll, she is lured into the mysterious nocturnal world of Mumbai, where she’s transformed into… something else. This is a totally new-feeling film – it creates its own world, populating it with larger than life characters and a singular sense of absurdity and danger. Also, the soundtrack is incredible and features songs from The Band, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Holly, the Stooges and more.
