Blowing on the Ember of the Heart

Luther’s Table welcomes back trauma therapist Justus D’Addario for a gentle, grounding gathering on Wednesday, July 9 at 7pm here at Luther’s Table. Following the April workshop Flipping the Lid, this next offering will invite us deeper into presence and connection through breath, movement, and the wisdom of the heart.

Join Justus and friends for a foundational practice of entering the Domain of the Heart. With commonalities from most of the world’s spiritual traditions, blowing on the ember of the Heart, is a gentle practice for connecting with your depth. By attuning to your breath and gently directing it to your core you can begin to do what Rumi called “polishing the mirror of the Heart”. When this space is open, it is a place where communion and guidance can be felt. Many people find that practicing with others allows access to greater support and movement than would normally happen alone. No experience or belief necessary, just making the time and trying is the first step.
