Annual Bed Build at Building Systems and Supplies

Thank you for choosing to join with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to build beds for children in need. Children that live within a six-county radius served by the Gadsden Chapter of SHP will be receiving one of the beds you build on this day. How awesome is that! We believe we are stronger and better together - so we need you! None of this is possible without all of us! We are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity and support of BSS to help us build a stronger community through meeting the needs of our youngest citizens.

No experience is needed, and we have everything - including all tools and supplies. Simply show up with your work clothes on and ready to work. We will teach you everything you need to know about building beds. Plan to show up 30-minutes before (check-in begins at 7:30 AM promptly) the start time of the bed build for check-in and station assignments. The build will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. It's that simple. See you soon!

Here are a few things to remember that will make sure your experience is unforgettable and life-changing:

1) Arrive 30-minutes early. We begin check-in at 7:30AM and the build will start promptly at 8:00 AM. You will need to check-in at the registration table (starting at 7:30 AM even though you are pre-registered) so you can receive your PPE (protective equipment) and station assignments. Please do not skip this step.

2) Do not wear open-toed shoes.

3) Do wear old clothing.

4) If you have long hair, please consider pulling it back.

5) Park in designated build-day parking areas only.

IMPORTANT: Children 12 years of age or less ARE NOT ALLOWED to be near the BRANDING FIRE PIT and SAW areas without direct and continual supervision of their parent or guardian. Children 13 years and older MUST BE SUPERVISED by an adult to serve in these areas. Our goal is to keep everyone safe, and to provide a safe and enjoyable environment and volunteer experience for all. This policy will be strictly enforced by SHP Gadsden Leadership Team.
