The Absinthe Society hosts the Darkest Hours, part book club, part open mic readings and poetry, with cocktails.
in April we start with a Gothic toast to our the enduring legacy of The Bronte Sisters.
If you wish to take your turn on the floor, please register with the Hostesses to get on the roster! You can sign up in advance here or at the door starting at 6PM when the Knight Library Bar opens for the evening. This way we can keep the entertainment going seamlessly.
What: This Month's theme is anything written by or your original work inspired by the work of the Bronte Sisters, may it be Charlotte, Emily, or Anne. You may bring spoken word, literary readings, poetry, play readings, or unplugged music to perform for everyone.
There IS A PA SYSTEM! 1 Song, or a reading in a 3-5 minute time frame please as time and space is limited.
No: Bands, off theme performances, plugged instruments or DJs, jumping the cue please.
You: Costumes or fancy dress encouraged, or your all black finest. This isn't a dive bar.
FREE Admission, but tip the Bartender will ye? The cocktails in this place are amazing.
*Where: The Knight Library Bar is at 11B Westminster Street and is attached to Justine's. Parking is available in back down Library Ct, or in the Fete lot just let them know you're going here ;)
