Bees and other pollinators across the country are dying off in droves, with potential long-term impacts to our ecosystems and food security.
According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, a highly toxic family of pesticides widely used in agriculture, residential landscaping and other settings, has been identified as a primary culprit.
At this public neighborhood meeting, Dr. Charles Clarkson, Director of Avian Research at the Audubon Society of RI, will share information with local residents on how these chemicals affect bird populations and overall biodiversity on the East Side of Providence.
Presented by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island and Blackstone Parks Conservancy.
Also check out other Meetups in Providence.
Tickets for Ecological Risks of Pesticide Use on the East Side can be booked here.
