Join the Providence Art Club on Sunday, August 10 from 2-4pm for receptions to celebrate three exciting summer exhibitions.
On view in Dodge House Gallery, Umberto Crenca will be featured in the special solo exhibition "Paint the Town". An artist, organizer, and founder of AS220, Bert has been shaping culture in Providence for decades.
In Maxwell Mays Gallery, the Club will present its first ever Faculty Invitational Exhibition. Organized by Michael Rose, this show will highlight work by talented artist-educators with Rhode Island ties who teach at the college level.
In Mary Castelnovo Gallery, Exhibiting Artist Members will be featured in another installment of "Members' Miniatures". With a size limit of 4" x 4", this show will highlight tiny artworks.
All three shows will be on view August 4 - 21. The galleries will be open late on August 21 for Gallery Night Providence. August gallery hours are Sunday - Friday from 12-3pm each day.
The Providence Art Club is located at 11 Thomas Street in the heart of College Hill. Ample street parking is available nearby along Benefit Street and North Main Street, and the Club is just a five minute walk from both the Providence Amtrak Station and Kennedy Plaza Bus Terminal.
