Bigfoot Poetry Festival: Not Another F*cking Eulogy Writing Workshop

Roxy Allen leads Not Another F*cking Eulogy. To say that it is difficult to write about something as heavy and all encompass as grief without also being devoured by it or bound by it is a massive understatement. This workshop uses a trauma informed lens to start the work of writing about grief without being devoured with safe anchors to mindfulness practices that let us wade into deeper waters with a safe route back to the harbor. Participants should walk away with exercises to ground themselves when the writing feels too much, as well as the ability to regulate when to use those tools, and at least 3 fertile seeds to start growing their own poetry as grief healing practice.

This writing workshop is FREE, and it is taking place at the Woodlark Hotel (813 SW Alder St) in their Meadow room on July 10th at 2:30pm. (If a Venmo/PayPal handle is presented at this event, we encourage folks to tip the workshop leader.) This event is a part of the Bigfoot Poetry Festival's workshop series.

This event takes place on the basement floor of the Woodlark in the Meadow event room. This venue is ADA accessible. The entrance will be through the side door of the building which does have a flight of stairs. For anyone who needs to avoid stairs, you can go through the front entrance and ask the front desk to be let down via the elevator. There is an ADA accessible bathroom on the same floor as the workshop.
