The Booker T. Washington Child Development Center (BTW) has proudly served the greater Phoenix community since 1967 as the longest-running Head Start program in Arizona. BTW provides high-quality early childhood education to nearly 500 children and families across 4 school districts at 17 sites, with 24 classrooms and over 70 educators. Through key partnerships with organizations such as the Phoenix Human Services Campus and ASU Prep Academy, BTW has built a strong foundation in eliminating the opportunity gap for children experiencing poverty.

BTW is committed to eliminating the opportunity gap for young children experiencing poverty and advocating for accessible, equitable early childhood education for all families. Combining federal funding, First Things First grants, fee-for-service programs, and private philanthropic support, BTW offers full-day, year-round, comprehensive education, health, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement services.

For nearly 60 years, the Booker T. Washington Child Development Center has been a cornerstone of early learning, nurturing young minds and supporting families to achieve long-term social, economic, and educational success.
