Alan Butler will be talking about his journey as an artist and how he became engaged with the Petaluma River here at Usher Gallery.
A 2020 sketch sparked a deep dive into the history of the Petaluma River, leading to a collaboration with historian Katherine J. Rinehart and the release of The Petaluma River in 2024. Join us to explore the river’s rich past, its environmental future, and the vibrant community working to protect it.
