Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Leonard Slatkin / Summer of Angels Concert #1

The New Hollywood String Quartet presents the SUMMER OF ANGELS Chamber Music Festival, July 10-13 at The Huntington's Rothenburg Hall. This year's festival honors the legacy of the Hollywood String Quartet, by performing works from their legendary Capitol Records discography. Internationally acclaimed conductor Leonard Slatkin will introduce and speak at each of these four concerts in a tribute to his parents Felix Slatkin and Eleanor Aller, the first violinist and cellist of that famed String Quartet.


On Thursday July 10 at 7:30 pm, superstar pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins the quartet for the festival's inaugural evening, featuring celebrated chamber works by Borodin and Franck.
