Michelangelo: His Life and Works

Join us at the Palatka Library as Dr. Hollace Thomas presents a lecture on the life and works of the legendary ‘Renaissance man,’ Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. Born in 1475, Michelangelo is one of the most recognizable artists in the Western world with celebrated masterpieces such as the sculpture of David in Florence, the paintings of the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling (The Creation of Man) and altar wall (The Last Judgment), and the architectural design of the Laurentian Library’s vestibule.

This lecture is tailored for adults and older teens, and is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Palatka Library on Tuesday, June 24th at 6:00 PM.
