Join Maria of Mestizo Academy for hands-on cooking classes that explore the bold flavours and rich traditions of Mexican cuisine. Each small-group session includes cooking, tasting, and take-home recipes. Offered in English and Spanish.

Bold, juicy, and full of flavor - Tacos al Pastor are MESTIZO’S SIGNATURE DISH! In this workshop, we’ll do everything from scratch: marinate the pork in a rich blend of achiote, dried chiles, spices, and pineapple juice, cook it to perfection, and slice it just like they do in Mexico City. We’ll also learn how to make a fresh pineapple sauce - to bring out the flavors of the meat before putting it all together in warm tortillas with classic toppings.
