PPOC EOB Goes Wild!

PPOC Eastern Ontario Branch invites you to a Nature/Bird photo walk in Ottawa at Mud Lake in the Britannia Conservation Area.

Date: Friday, June 20, 2025 (rain date Monday, June 23, 2025)

Time: 7:00 AM until we get tired (10 or 11 AM) and then go for an early lunch.

Location: Mud Lake - Cassels St, Ottawa, ON K2B 5W4

Park on Cassels Street and meet near the north access trailhead.

We will walk south along the west shore of Mud Lake, looking for birds, flowers, turtles, insects, and other wildlife for photo opportunities (or simply to just enjoy seeing them).

Bring your camera, and a pair of binoculars if you have them. Bird photography is easier with a longer lens (200-600mm), but can work with a 70-200mm (which is also good for other kinds of wildlife). Or, bring a wide lens or a macro lens for shooting flowers and insects if desired. This is a fun opportunity to enjoy each other's company in nature.
