Information Session for Volunteer Facilitators

Bereaved Families of Ontario – Ottawa Region is currently recruiting volunteer facilitators for its peer grief support programs to meet demand for service and increase the organization’s capacity to reach more individuals.


We are currently recruiting peer support volunteers for:

Program for parents grieving the death of a child
Program for grieving the death of spouse or partner
Program for grieving a loss by suicide
Program for grieving the loss of a parent, friend or relative
Program for grieving a loss by substance use


A virtual information session is being held on July 24 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a volunteer facilitator.

Facilitator training is a requirement for volunteers who apply to co-facilitate BFO’s peer support grief groups. Training is provided over 2.5 days and is delivered in person at our downtown Ottawa location.
