In this class we'll look at flowers, leaves, and stems, along with their shapes and sizes, and relations to each other. We'll practice drawing basic shapes, creating depth and structure to develop realistic images. Using both pastels and watercolors, we'll develop those images on a variety of papers. Our focus will be on the individual flower rather than bouquets in order to keep the structure and development as simple and authentic as possible. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own flowers to the class as well as photos of flowers they wish to replicate.

About the Instructor:
Nancy is a highly inspiring and dedicated educator who thrives on helping students build confidence and creativity. With a focus on a growth mindset, she encourages her students to explore, experiment, and believe in their abilities. Drawing from her rich experiences—ranging from homeschooling her children to volunteering, teaching various subjects, and traveling widely—Nancy brings a broad perspective to her teaching. She is a mentor who fosters both knowledge and resilience, inspiring her students to imagine, grow, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
