Laughter Yoga is a unique practice that blends intentional laughter with yogic breathing techniques, gently guiding the body and mind into a state of joyful release and relaxation. Originating in India, this powerful wellness modality has been embraced around the world—including in Japan, where it’s used in health centers and community programs to reduce stress, increase happiness, and build connection.
Led by Mayumi , a certified Laughter Yoga teacher with deep roots in both Japanese tradition and yogic wisdom, this session invites participants of all ages and abilities to explore the healing power of laughter. The practice begins with simple clapping and playful exercises to stimulate laughter, followed by deep breathing and gentle movement to restore balance and calm.
Laughter Yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to release tension, lower cortisol levels, and activate your body’s natural relaxation response. It’s fun, uplifting, and a deeply effective way to reset your emotional and physical well-being.
