📢Η Στέγη Χορού Λευκωσίας διοργανώνει το φεστιβάλ On Bodies 2025 που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 22-25 Μαΐου 2025. Το φεστιβάλ On Bodies είναι ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά φεστιβάλ χορού και performance της Κύπρου με επίκεντρο τα τελευταία χρόνια τη σύνδεση της τέχνης του χορού με τη σημερινή πραγματικότητα.
Σε συσχέτιση με την περσινή θεματική της επούλωσης, το On Bodies 2025 θα εστιάσει στην ΑΝΘΕΚΤΙΚΟΤΗΤΑ: την ικανότητα προσαρμογής—είτε ως άτομα, είτε ως κοινότητες, είτε ως αλληλοσυνδεδεμένα δίκτυα—σε προκλήσεις της ζωής. Αυτό περιλαμβάνει τη διατήρηση της υγιούς λειτουργίας μπροστά σε καταστάσεις υψηλού κινδύνου και την αντοχή σε παρατεταμένα ή σοβαρά τραύματα, είτε προσωπικά είτε περιβαλλοντικά. Το φεστιβάλ εξερευνά στοιχεία, πρακτικές και εμπειρίες που σχετίζονται με το ανθεκτικό σώμα σε διάφορα προσωπικά, συλλογικά, κοινοτικά και κοινωνικοπολιτισμικά πλαίσια και πώς η ανθεκτικότητα τροφοδοτεί τους μηχανισμούς επιβίωσης στις μέρες μας.
Ενσωματώνοντας διάφορες μορφές παραστάσεων σύγχρονης χορογραφίας (έργα σκηνής, διαδραστικές/συμμετοχικές δημιουργίες, performance lectures, τοποειδικά περφόρμανς, έργα μεγάλης διάρκειας, κ.α) προσβλέπουμε στην κριτική συσχέτιση με τις ανησυχίες και προβληματισμούς που υπάρχουν στις μέρες μας.
Το φετινό πρόγραμμα συμπεριλαμβάνει προτάσεις από νέους και καταξιωμένους καλλιτέχνες από Κύπρο και εξωτερικό, καθώς και εργαστήρια, συζητήσεις και πάρτι.
Το φεστιβάλ πραγματοποιείται στην κύρια σκηνή και στη γειτονιά της Στέγης Χορού Λευκωσίας, καθώς και στο πάρκο Αθαλάσσας. Το συνολικό πρόγραμμα του φεστιβάλ επιμελήθηκε ο Πέτρος Κονναρής και τα κομμάτια από το ανοικτό κάλεσμα επιλέχθηκαν μαζί με τους Αριάννα Οικονόμου, Ανδρομάχη Δ. Lindahl, Παύλο Μάριο Κτωρίδη και Χάρις Ιακώβου.

📢Dance House Lefkosia organizes the On Bodies festival 2025 which will take place from the 22nd to the 25th of May. The On Bodies festival is one of the most important dance and performance festivals in Cyprus, with the recent years focusing on dance’s relation with today’s reality.
Building on last year’s theme of healing, On Bodies 2025 will focus on RESILIENCE: the ability to adapt—whether as individuals, communities, or interconnected networks—to life’s challenges. This includes maintaining healthy functioning in the face of high-risk situations and enduring trauma, whether personal or environmental. The festival explores various elements, practices, and experiences related to the resilient bodies in personal, collective, communal, and sociocultural contexts, examining how resilience influences our survival mechanisms in these days and times.
By incorporating various forms of contemporary choreographic performances (stage works, interactive/participatory creations, performance lectures, site-specific performances, long durational works, etc) we aim at a critical correlation with the concerns and issues that exist today.
This year's programme includes proposals from young and established artists from Cyprus and abroad as well as workshops, discussions and more.
The festival takes place on the main stage and in the neighborhood of Dance House Lefkosia, and at Athalassa Park. The overall programme was curated by Petros Konnaris and the pieces from the open call were selected together with Arianna Economou, Andromachi D. Lindahl, Pavlos Marios Ktoridis, and Charis Iacovou.
