Save the date for the European Forum entitled "Good Practices for Prevention and Combating of Sexual Violence in Sports", organized between 14th-15th September 2025, in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The Forum aims to highlight effective good practices, actions, and projects that address sexual violence in sports. It will also serve as a platform for exchange, inspiration, and future collaboration. The Forum is part of the RISE – Empowered Above Sexual Violence in Sports project, co-funded by the European Union, and will bring together experts, professionals, researchers, and policymakers from across the EU. The European Forum will include the following:
** On 14th September 2025, at 17:15 pm, the screening of the award-winning documentary (Tack (2024) - IMDb), by Vania Turner, featuring Sofia Bekatorou and Amalia Proveleggiou, followed by an open discussion with professionals and experts from sports, academia, civil society, and government.

** On 15th September 2025, at 09:00-15:00 p.m. a European Forum with presentations of good practices by guest speakers, from Cyprus and other EU countries, networking opportunities with representatives of sports organizations, NGOs working on sexual violence prevention, policymakers, and academics. Results of a recent qualitative study on the prevalence of sexual violence in sports and prevention practices in Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, and Austria will be presented.
