A special “dress rehearsal” featuring Little Chicago and the Smisek Brothers is scheduled for
July 16 at the New Prague Golf Club at Memorial Park. While this rehearsal is now OFFICIALLY part of Music at Memorial, it is on Wednesday night and is just a few hundred feet from where
the other Wednesday concerts are being held. The special rehearsal is a preview of British Invasion II, the big show at NPGC on Friday night, July 18, at 7 p.m.
The Smisek Brothers are a family music group focusing on vocal arrangements and rich harmonies. They feature classic songs, including rock, country, gospel and folk. The family has
a long history of music and take pride in their heritage and the gift of music they can share with others. Band members: Ken, Lenny, Dan, Chester Smisek.
Little Chicago is celebrating its 26 th year. Little Chicago is a horn cover band for hits of the 1960s and 1970s, based in New Prague. The band purposely plays about 15 gigs per year, mostly spring to fall, and has been performing in the Twin Cities since 1999. The horn band features hits by such famous groups as Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Grass Roots, the Bee Gees, The Dave Clark Five, Dusty Springfield, the Beatles and more. The band has been featured at private parties, community festivals, dances, weddings and corporate meetings. In New Prague, they play annually at the Ryder Cup at New Prague Golf club, Ribfest at Holy Trinity Church and Dozinky Saturday afternoon on Main St. The Smisek Brothers and Little
