Jazz on the Prairie set for Music at Memorial

Jazz on the Prairie is set for Music at Memorial on June 25. It is a high energy 20-piece jazz big band that has performed all around the Twin Cities for over 35 years. It plays a variety of music - from the swing era of the & 30s and & 40s up to and including more modern arrangements (Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Doc Severinsen, Thad Jones, Claude Bolling, Gordon Goodwin, etc.). Performances always leave audiences with smiling faces and toes tapping! Each December the band prepares a fun program of Holiday favorites arranged for jazz big band. Some musicians also perform with our sister organizations: The Prairie Ramblers, The Prairie Brass and The Eden Prairie Community Band, all sponsored by the City of Eden Prairie.
