Field Day is on June 28th and 29th this year (Saturday and Sunday). The event runs from 2:00 pm EDT Saturday to 2:00 pm EDT Sunday. We will start setup at 9:00 am EDT on Saturday morning. Take down will hopefully begin at 2:00 pm EDT Sunday, but this is subject to change if severe weather is threatening.
Jefferson Township Park is located east of New Haven on Dawkins Road and Webster Road. This is the location for the Fort Wayne Flying Circuits airstrip and the Star Quest Observatory. It is just east of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society's yard and workshop, and the CASAD depot.
QRP NIGHT:
At the FWRC June General meeting on Friday, June 13th, we will ask for opinions on reviving the "QRP NIGHT" operation, also at Jefferson Township Park on the evening of June 27th, the day before Field Day. Anyone interested is asked to attend the meeting or contact the FWRC BOD or Ken, N8KR, and express their opinion. The QRP Night was started by WB9ZIY at the 2002 FD at the Girl Scout Camp. It is a "run-what-you-bring" fun event for a social get together before the big Field Day weekend.
KC9MUT and N8KR are spearheading the Field Day event this year. As usual, we will have the FWRC spring cookout on FD Saturday at 5:30 pm. REALLY GOOD FOOD!!!
