On Sunday the 22nd of June 2025 I will be holding a circle to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
The Winter Solstice is also known as Yule. It is the shortest day and longest night of the year.
Yule is on Saturday the 21st this year, but circle will be held on Sunday the 22nd of June at 2pm.
Yule is a Fire Festival, it is a time to celebrate the return of the light. It's a reminder that the darkness and cold do not last forever.
From this point forward the days gradually grow longer again as we head towards the Sun and the Summer Solstice.
Although this is a gradual progression of the light returning in our days it is quite an important Sabbat; reminding us to have patience!!!
The waning half of the year is over and it's time for the warmth, growth and our lights to shine brightly!!Winter Solstice in Wiccan tradition marks the beginning of the year.
It's a celebration of the light and the rebirth of one or more God's.It's a time of preparation, for quite and for inner focus, as this is the time that Pachamama, our Earth mother rests from all her hard work and the cycle of her labor's.
The Suns rays aren't as strong during this point of the year, symbolic of us being in our infancy, just being born and needing nourishment to bring us into our full power and potential.
The Goddess who has been in her Crone aspects over the past few months is now once again in her Mother aspect.
On this afternoon we shall celebrate the renewal of life.

This will be where you will release the things that no longer serve you via your effigy - see note below, in what to have ready. We are getting ready for the spring, birth and fertility.-

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Fresh water
A quite space in which you can perform the ceremony.
An effigy, built from things that you find in nature. That represent to you things that you need to release from your life.
A safe space in which you can burn your effigy for the releasing ceremony.
A candle
Paper and pen or pencils
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please wear comfortable clothing.
I recommend not drinking any alcohol or taking any mind-altering substances prior to this session.
