Youth Aviation Workshop - Avionics, Instruments & Systems

Open to Youth ages 12 and older

Prerequisites: None
Class Size: Limited to 15 attendees
Instructors: Mark Wallace & Bob Dilk, CFII with other pilots/flight instructors assisting

The following topics will be covered:
o Introduction to and detailed discussions of 'steam gauge' and glass instrument panels
o TD2 Flight Training device instrument panel demonstrations
o Review instrument panel(s) in one or more aircraft on the ramp/in hangars
o Review operations of aircraft communication and navigation equipment
o Discussion of systems powering the instruments
o How to detect you have a failed instrument(s)
o How to fly with a 'partial panel' (one or more of your instruments have failed)
o Discuss related maintenance and recurring required ‘checks' of aircraft avionics and systems

It will be an awesome and fun earning experience!
