Leap into the strange, symbolic, and sublime with Frog Around & Find Out, a two-person exhibition by Montana artists Courtney Blazon and Sage Friss. This visually rich and conceptually layered show uses frogs and toads as powerful metaphors—guardians of memory, symbols of transformation, and living reminders of what we stand to lose in a rapidly changing world.
Courtney Blazon’s work blends the real with the imagined through lush, illustrative compositions rooted in memory and myth. Frogs and toads emerge as messengers of nostalgia, liminality, and the fragile nature of remembering. Her vivid, dreamlike works invite viewers into worlds where past and present intertwine. Sage Friss brings a personal and ecological lens to his work, exploring the incredible diversity and vulnerability of frogs. Through drawings and mixed-media pieces, Friss reflects on recent life experiences, intercultural symbology, and the overlooked complexity of amphibians. This body of work is both a celebration and a call to action. See more of Sage's work at www.mffineproductions.com
The artists invite gallery visitors to support amphibian conservation by donating to Save the Frogs, a nonprofit working to protect these vital creatures around the world:
