Workshop on Using Visual Storytelling to Inspire Change
Join us for an engaging and hands-on photography workshop series that explores the power of images to protect and advocate for our most vital resource: clean water. Whether you’re an experienced photographer or just beginning your creative journey, this workshop will teach you how to use photography as a tool for environmental storytelling and grassroots activism.
Through guided instruction, field practice, and thoughtful discussion, participants will learn how to capture compelling images that raise awareness, highlight environmental challenges, and amplify the call for clean, safe, and accessible water for all. We’ll explore techniques for composition, lighting, and visual impact—alongside strategies for crafting narratives that move people to care and act.
Led by experienced photographer, Troy Freund and environmental advocates at Milwaukee Riverkeeper this workshop empowers you to use your lens not just to document the world, but to change it.
