A Cappella & Unplugged Open Mic @ Stoner's Mansion House

It's our FIRST TIME at Mansion House and we invite you to join us on Saturday, May 10th at Stoner's Mansion House in Mercersburg! Performers are recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes early. The open mic will begin at 3PM!

Guidelines:

• 2 song limit OR 10 minute set per act
• Instruments must be UNPLUGGED (not powered by electricity)
• You must be able to carry your instrument (no drum kits, pianos, other wheeled instruments)
• No backing tracks (no auxiliary music)
• Material and lyrical content must be friendly to all audiences
• Individuals may not perform in multiple acts (must either perform solo or in a group)
• Be respectful/attentive to all acts

Start your journey to a $500 grand prize and a chance to perform before thousands at the 1864 Burning & Rebirth of Chambersburg on July 19th, 2025. THIS EVENT IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC. If you can carry your instrument(s) onstage, you can participate (Pianos, drum kits, large wheeled instruments are prohibited for 1st and final round)! Instruments MUST BE unplugged (Instruments that require power or amplification are prohibited). There are also no PA systems/microphones. Bring your friends and family to watch you perform. The more friends and family to support you, the louder they can cheer.

How A Cappella & Unplugged Open Mic Works: Open mics are held at various locations around the county and used as auditioning opportunities for performers. Those chosen through the open mics are invited to Round One at the Capitol Theatre on June 28th. Round 1 contestants perform ONE song. After the conclusion of all performances, a panel of judges select the top five acts to move into the Final Round, along with a potential People's Choice. The chosen finalists will perform at the Court House Plaza in Downtown Chambersburg. Then, the public is invited to vote on the finalists for a winner! This performer will also receive the grand prize of $500. The Final Round winner will perform one final song before the 1864 Burning of Chambersburg Reenactment on July 19th. Those chosen through the open mics are guaranteed a slot for Round 1 at the Capitol Theatre on Jun 28th.
