General Information:
The CAOS Climbing and Caving Road Trip for 14-16 year old campers is designed to introduce and reinforce the basic skills related to rock climbing, caving and campcraft, with a focus on personal responsibility and group interaction. The camp is facilitated by the faculty, staff and students of the Garrett College Center for Adventure & Outdoor Studies. All campers will participate in camp related chores such as cooking, cleaning and camp setup.
The road trip begins at the Garrett College Community Aquatics & Recreation Complex (CARC) at 9 a.m. on Monday morning. Over the next few days the road trip will travel in Garrett College vehicles from Garrett College to Coopers Rock, West Virginia and then to the Seneca Rocks/Spruce Knob National Recreation Area of West Virginia. All four nights of the road trip will be spent camping in commercial campgrounds with shower and restroom facilities. The group will return to Garrett College and the road trip will end at the CARC at 5 p.m. on Friday.

• Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing for each day of the
trip
-Include warm clothes for evenings at higher elevations (warm
hat, long pants, long sleeve shirts, jacket)
• 2 sets of closed-toed lace-up shoes (sneakers or light hiking
boots)
-One pair for hiking to climbs, one old pair for caving
