The CAOS Mountain Biking Camp for 11-13 year old campers is a day camp designed to introduce the basic skills related to single track mountain biking. The camp will be facilitated by faculty and/or staff of the Garrett College Center for Adventure and Outdoor Studies. Participants will learn about the basics of mountain bike maintenance, as well as participate in riding games, obstacle courses and skill drills. These activities are designed to build a solid foundation of skills to prepare campers for multiple single-track mountain bike rides within the region.
Participants will meet with the camp instructors at the Garrett College Community Aquatics & Recreation Complex (CARC) at 9 a.m. each day, and will return to the CARC at 12:30 p.m.
Campers will travel in Garrett College vehicles from the CARC to a site that is appropriate to the riders’ ability levels and to the current weather conditions.
