South Coast native Julie Hatch who worked for decades in pediatric and neonatal intensive care units has written her first novel a medical thriller "The Very Best of Care" based in part on her experiences.

When a young mother is forced to deliver her baby three and a half months early she’s not just fighting for her son’s survival. She uncovers a shocking conspiracy within the hospital. As she digs deeper into corruption cover-ups and corporate greed she finds herself not only fighting for her son’s life but for her own.
