BC Early Learning Frameworkl Does It Really Matter...to Me?
Wondering what the BC Early Learning Framework is and where does it come from? Wondering if the document is really important to you and your work? If yes, then join us for a hearty breakfast and a group of your colleagues to explore and decide for yourself. In this first session (1 of 3) we will talk about the changes that led to this document, the vision of it offers us in early learning and child care, and a chance to see if it fits with our own values and beliefs. Breakfast Included
Alison Bledsoe has lived Early years practice in many contexts: working front line in child care and family support programs; leading teams of Educators in non profit settings partnering with school districts in the provision of licensed child care; leading various funding/policy/development initiatives; managing Early Years investments for one of BC's largest philanthropic organizations; as an ECE faculty member in public post secondary settings and as a consultant for Early Years organization and initiatives. Since it's inception, the BC Early Learning Framework has been central in much of Alison's work- as well as her own growth and leadership development.
