In partnership with Harper Collins and Rosetta Books, Sunshine Coast Hinterland Writers Festival brings you a captivating evening with Angie Faye Martin, winner of the HQ/Flinders First Nations Fiction Fellowship and author of the gripping debut novel Melaleuca. Melaleuca follows Aboriginal policewoman Renee Taylor as she confronts a murder and the ghosts of her past in a small outback town.
Angie will be in conversation with our SCHWF Author Ambassador Georgia Harper, delving into her gripping debut novel and the creative journey that brought Melaleuca to life, inspired by the Queensland country town where Angie grew up.
This is a chance to hear from a powerful new voice in Australian fiction. Proudly identifying as a Kooma-Kamilaroi woman, Angie Faye Martin draws on deep personal and cultural roots to tell a story that resonates long after the final page.
Come early at 4.30pm for complimentary glass of wine and cheese, and settle in for a thought-provoking conversation starting at 5.00pm.
Books will be available for purchase and signing after the event.
