Writing, Illustrating, & Publishing a Children’s Book with Local Author Ellie Cowan

Sign up today for Writing, Illustrating, and Publishing a Children’s Picture Book with local author Ellie Cowan! The class begins on June 5th.

Ellie has been drawing, painting and writing stories since she can remember. With a BA in Literature and a Master’s in English, she taught Creative Writing at Lagrange College and various art classes at SCAD in Savannah, as well as working in the Art Therapy space with children, seniors and soldiers returning from deployments.

Ellie has taught drawing and painting classes and workshops while raising 7 children, and now as the owner/innkeeper of The Firefly at Madison, she offers paint parties and art and writing retreats to her many guests. She has published 2 children’s books (so far) about the lovely animals that keep things interesting at the Firefly, and has more in the works!
