Make Music Madison will take place at Bierock on Saturday June 21 with four acts performing throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
An annual tradition in the city, Make Music Madison takes place following the summer solstice on the longest full day of the year. It’s part of International Make Music Day, which takes place in over 1,000 cities in 120 countries.
In the past, over 1,000 musicians have taken part in more than 380 shows at more than 100 venues in Madison alone.
The performance schedule at Bierock is as follows…
1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Bear in the Forest—Indie-Folk, Singer-Songwriter
3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Starbeam—Indie Rock, Pop, Synth
5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Parting Blue—Indie Rock, Alternative
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Electric Spanking—Funk, Jamband, Rock
The songs of Bear In The Forest (BITF) howl with spiritualism. Carmela and Justin of Starbeam create Strawberry Synth Dreamy Pop Rocks from the heart, channeled through the celestial vessel that is Starbeam. They take inspiration from their relationship while also dipping into the vast ocean of influence.
Formerly known as Depression Glass, Parting Blue has been playing together for almost 30 years. They play a mix of originals and covers influenced by rock and alternative styles from the 1960s to the present. Our band features twin brothers Jim and Jeff on vocals and guitars, Scott on bass, and John on drums.
Electric Spanking is a 5-piece funk/rock/jam band out of Madison, WI performing a wide musical variety of originals and covers. They’ve notably opened for Here Come the Mummies at the Majestic Theater in years past.
Bierock will have its full food and drink menu available the day of the event.
There is no cover charge but tipping the musicians is encouraged.
Located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., Bierock is part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
