Each session is drop-in, hands-on, and included with admission - perfect for curious young explorers. Come once or come twice and discover how sailors found their way across the world using stars, magnets, and imagination.
Science of Seafaring: Make Your Own Quadrant!
Family workshop | Free with admission | Ages 6+
Learn how Tudor sailors used the stars to navigate across the seas. In this hands-on workshop, build your own working quadrant and discover how explorers measured their position at sea. Drop in any time during the session and take home a piece of history.

Family workshop | Free with admission | Ages 4+
Explore the science of direction by creating your own compass rose. Learn how sailors used magnetic north, then design and decorate your own using craft materials and upcycled textures. A creative drop-in for curious minds.
