This workshop invites participants to explore the fragmented nature of memory through poetic expression, drawing on themes of metamorphosis and personal reflection.
We will discuss how poets capture memory, featuring a diverse selection of works, engage with guided prompts to unlock personal recollections and emotions, and share your work in a supportive space, discussing its emotional impact.
No prior experience needed – just bring your creativity!
Structure:
- Introduction (20 min): A discussion on memory in poetry, featuring works from a variety of poets.
- Freewriting Exercise (30 min): Guided prompts encourage participants to engage with personal recollections.
- Group Reflection (30 min): A shared reading and discussion on the emotional impact of their writing.
