With support from Bau Cat.
Hailing from the Welsh town of Carmarthen, Adwaith grew up surrounded by a rich tradition of Welsh-language indie-rock. Drawing inspiration from bold Welsh bands like Datblygu, TraddodiadOfnus, and Fflaps, as well as newer acts on the Welsh music scene, they knew they wanted to make their own uncompromising mark. The dynamic trio—Hollie Singer, Gwenllian Anthony, and Heledd Owen—formed the band in 2015, bringing together their love for experimental and artistically-minded music.
With the release of their highly anticipated third album, Solas, Adwaith takes a huge step forward in their artistic journey.
Recorded across multiple locations, including the Outer Hebrides, Lisbon, and Wales, the 23-track double album is a rich blend of romance and magic. "Solas" reflects their evolution from teenagers to empowered women, exploring self-discovery, escape, and resilience.
Adwaith’s debut album Melyn (2018) won the Welsh Music Prize, and their follow-up, Bato Mato (2022), also earned them a second Welsh Music Prize. The band has earned recognition from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, KEXP, NPR, and more, as well as played at major festivals like Glastonbury.
Adwaith is now focused on sharing the Welsh language and their unique sound with a global audience.

Bau Cat
Bau Cat are a three-piece from the seaside town of Prestatyn in North Wales, blending golden-era Laurel Canyon pop with surf-jangle sparkle, New Wave cool, garage grit, and psych-soaked harmonies. Drawing from ’70s cosmic country and shot through with DIY indie energy, their sound is bold, genre-blurring, and thrillingly new.
Abby Butler (lead vocals & bass), Jim Davies (guitar & vocals), and Jack Wells (drums & vocals) create music that’s as emotionally rich as it is sonically adventurous.
Think the lush vocal stacks of Crosby, Stills & Nash clashing with the raw urgency of the pre-fame Beatles in Hamburg — not the icons, but the hungry young band grinding through smoke-filled clubs, learning survival through sound. Add in the technicolor swirl of Love, and you’re close to the sonic heart of Bau Cat.
They’ve already built a name for themselves with headline tours, standout sets at Green Man, and headlining the Toad Hall Stage at Glastonbury. Their infectious live energy and evolving sound have earned support from BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music.
With new releases on the way, Bau Cat are stepping into their moment.
