To mark Heritage Week 2025, the Irish Whale and Dophin Group (in collaboration with BannerGleo) will host a special whale and dolphin watching event on Hags Head.
Learn about the amazing work of this environmental NGO over the last three decades in the Shannon Estuary, the wider Clare coastline and around the entire island of Ireland, and hear about the research currently being undertaken in Liscannor Bay.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Meeting point is at the Liscannor GAA grounds. Parking is free but limited. There is approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the watch point. Please bring your own scope/binoculars. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. This location is not suitable for very small children.
This project is funded by Clare County Council and National Parks and Wildlife Service (through the Local Biodiversity Action Fund) under the National Biodiversity Action Plan (2023-2030).
