About the event

Heritage Week Event: Reflecting on the Founder. A Franciscan speaks on St Francis & the Early Friars
The foundation of the town of Ennis began when the ruling O’Brien clan created a stronghold on the river Fergus and brought a small household of friars to Ennis in the 13th century.

To mark Heritage week join us for a talk by Fr. Liam Kelly OFM, Lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies in Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.

"Reflecting on the Founder. A Franciscan speaks on Saint Francis and the Early Friars: from Umbria to Ennis".
