After more than a decade in duo The Lost Brothers Irish musician Oisin Leech announced himself in 2024 as a singer-songwriter of distinction.

Oisin Leech’s debut album ‘Cold Sea’ has garnered widespread critical acclaim since its release last year including being voted one of the Albums Of The Year at BBC 6 Music, at Mojo and at Uncut.
The Cold Sea album also features many luminaries such as Dónal Lunny, Bob Dylan's long-time bassist Tony Garnier, M Ward and local Donegal fiddle player Roisín McGrory but the main body of the album is a live performance by Leech of the songs with thoughtful atmospheric additions by producer Steve Gunn.
Since the release of Cold Sea in March 2024, Leech has appeared on the Cerys Matthews BBC 6 Music show from Maida Vale in London and also has seen the album enter the Top 20 Official Folk Album Charts in the UK. Cold Sea has now seen over 3.5 million streams since March last year.
The album was recorded in an old sea-facing schoolhouse in Donegal on the most northerly tip of Ireland over five days in summer.
With Brooklyn musician Steve Gunn as producer, he and Oisin turned the old schoolhouse into a working studio, hiring recording equipment from neighbouring musicians.
Recording in these surroundings (where the songs were mainly written) gave the creative process a unique sense of place and freedom.
Since its launch he has been invited to tour with with M Ward, Vashti Bunyan, Lisa O’Neill, Tindersticks and Gaz Coombes. He sold-out his Dublin debut at the Sugar Club, his London solo headline gig at The Lexington, and received a standing ovation at his recent Union Chapel solo headline gig where Ron Sexsmith turned up to join Leech for the encores.
