About the event

Song/Craft Sessions: Allister Bradley & Angela Saini
Casual afternoon performance from compelling songwriters

About this Event

Song/Craft Sessions is a casual afternoon show hosted by Coraline James featuring thoughtful songwriters.

Angela Saini sweeps people away with instantly-memorable, toe-tapping roots folk-pop infused with storyteller sing-alongs about courage and finding joy in surprising places. A 2020 Independent Music Award Finalist for "Best Alt Country" and 2017 Toronto Independent Music Award winner, she uplifts and inspires audiences with songs about second chances and empowering others. With several Canadian tours under her belt as well as treks across Germany, England and The Netherlands, the positive and upbeat songstress has been called “massively talented” by BBC Radio.

Sounds like: "Angelic vocals with a little stomp." (Cadence Canada Magazine)
In a world where conformity reigns, Angela Saini fearlessly defies expectations and defines herself on her own terms. Hailing from a rich cultural background as an Indian-Austrian Canadian, Angela's artistic journey is a testament to unyielding positivity and empowering ideals, a path she paved through both incredible success and her darkest moments. Her newest heartfelt creation, “Wanna Be You,” explores the patterns of comparison we engage in far too easily thanks to social media, and celebrates self-love with a catchy hook that encourages you to sing along. The empowering and memorable anthem is the first single to be released ahead of her sophomore album due spring 2025.
The prairie-raised artist has been heard on CBC Radio, Stingray, and Sirius XM across North America. She is most known for her sunshine-soaked song “Living on the Bright Side,” and has performed for festivals in Canada such as Home County in London, and The Philadelphia Folk Festival.

Allister Bradley has been writing songs since he was old enough to sing them, and he’s spent more time learning the craft and nuance of songwriting than he’ll ever want to admit.

Fast forward a few decades, and there’s a catalog of his music out in the world, playing into ears in need of a groove, a story, or a reason to sit back and turn off everything else. He continues to write, in his studio and in collaboration with songwriters on nearly every continent. His three studio albums are featured here, and are available on BandCamp and wherever you find your music. He has written and recorded for several independent films, and hires himself out as a session player and vocalist to artists and radio personalities here and abroad.

He has built a recording studio and operates Tilted White Shed Music Services to help other songwriters write, record and share their music, through which he has recorded hundreds of records for independent songwriters and artists.

He teaches and facilitates workshops at SongStudio, the premiere Canadian songwriting education experience since 2005.

He mentors young singers in the annual Wellesley Idol youth talent competition and development program.

And he’s not done yet. Allister believes in always learning, so he’s going to keep doing that until the day he moves on.

Coraline James is an offbeat adult contemporary musician from Kitchener, Ontario whose music sounds like Josh Groban on mushrooms. In August 2023, James unveiled her debut EP, In the River, produced by the JUNO award-winning producer Michael Wojewoda. Her second EP, Brambles, will be released in June 2025 thanks to the support of the Ontario Arts Council and the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund.
