You're invited to Ode’imin Giizis: Healing Through UNITY Traditional Powwow, a powerful day of culture, connection, and community on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum.
Hosted by the Region of Waterloo Museums and supported by Crow Shield Lodge, this outdoor powwow begins with a Sunrise Ceremony at 6 a.m. led by Myeengun Henry, followed by a full day of dancing, drumming, and celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enjoy the powerful voices of our host drum, Spirit Nation Singers, and guidance from Arena Director Perry Stevens, Head Elders Mawla Shawana and Myeengun Henry, and Head Veteran Gladwyn Badger. A sacred fire will be on site, and a community feast will close the day at 6 p.m.
This event is FREE!
Please bring your hand drums and lawn chairs.
Everyone is welcome—this is a drug- and alcohol-free space. No dogs permitted (service dogs only). Let’s gather in the spirit of unity, healing, and respect.
