Daniel Kimbro at The Down Home

Daniel Kimbro is a GRAMMY-nominated musician from Morristown, TN. He has worked with notable artists including Eric Clapton, Jerry Douglas, John Hiatt, Transatlantic Sessions, Sarah Jarosz, Steve Earle, R.B. Morris & Harley Kimbro Lewis. Daniel’s debut singer/songwriter album, Carpet in The Kitchen, features original songs rooted in Appalachian folk traditions.

In 2024 DK organized, cohosted and performed at "Appalachian Allies," a fundraiser in Knoxville, TN benefitting those Eastern Tennessee counties affected by Hurricane Helene. Appalachian Allies featured performances by Sam Lewis, Andy Wood, Adeem the Artist, Sarah Jarosz, Darrell Scott, R.B. Morris, and Larkin Poe, and raised over $120,000 for local flood relief.

Daniel has previously appeared at the Down Home with R.B. Morris, Robinella, and Jerry Douglas.
