Apollo Music Festival: 'Beethoven, Prokofiev, and the Hollywood Songbook'

Get ready for an afternoon filled with marvelous music. Join the Apollo Music Festival for our third concert of our 13th season at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16. The program features a cello and piano sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven dedicated to the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm II, as well as a string quartet by Sergei Prokofiev commissioned by the Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Foundation of the Library of Congress. Join us for a pre-concert talk 30 minutes before the performance and find out more about the concert below!

The 13th Season of the Apollo Music Festival is approaching! From August 14 through 24, nine musicians from around the country will convene in Southeastern Minnesota to present ten free chamber music concerts at five venues in the area. This year's Apollo Music Festival will celebrate famous patrons of the arts that have supported the composers we know and love. Invite your friends! This is a free event open to all.
