A Reading of Date My Mom: A New Play Written by Louisa Vilardi

Join us for a public reading of Date My Mom, a new play written by Louisa Vilardi. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Running time is approximately 2 hours. Starring: Rachel Handler, Samuel Eisenbaum, Joe Eriole, Ryan Dutcher, Duane Joseph Olson, Marie Hasenpflug, and Matthew DeHond. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the reading will begin promptly at 7:00pm.

Synopsis: A year after a devastating car crash takes her husband’s life, Julie is left with no memory of the night that changed everything. Grief has her stuck in place, until her teenage son launches a bold and wildly unconventional senior project titled Date My Mom.

What begins as an attempt to help his mother move forward soon forces Julie to confront unresolved grief, buried emotions, and the question of whether she’s ready to let love—or life—back in.

With humor, tenderness, and a surprising dose of hope, Date My Mom is a heartfelt play about healing after loss, rediscovering identity, and the unexpected ways we find our way back to ourselves.

Written by Louisa Vilardi, this moving play celebrates the courage to begin again and the unshakable bond between a mother and son.
