About the event

Petri Kumela: Lecture - Performance
Microtonal Music Studios presents Petri Kumela on 02.05.2025 at 19.00 in Myymälä2 gallery (Uudenmaankatu 23F).

Petri Kumela will demonstrate two different microtonal classical guitars, one with movable frets and one with interchangeable fretboards and will play at least some renaissance and baroque repertoire in tempered tunings. The event will be very informal and all questions and discussion are welcome.

Petri Kumela esittelee kaksi erilaista mikrotonaalista klassista kitaraa, joista toisessa on siirrettävät ja toisessa vaihdettavat jouset, ja soittaa ainakin osan renessanssi- ja barokkiajan ohjelmistosta temperoiduilla virityksillä. Tilaisuus on hyvin epämuodollinen, ja kaikki kysymykset ja keskustelut ovat tervetulleita.
