Whether you’ve been dancing for a while and want to clean up your head movements, you’re new to head movements, or you have the basics covered but want to learn how to flow better, this workshop will provide valuable learning. You should already be able to execute the basic steps and main zouk movements.

Learn about the 3 different kinds of head movements. In this part we will also focus on cleaning the common mistakes and learning the details that make the movement comfortable, clear, and safe.

In this part we will learn how to connect the three different kinds of movements in order to create a continuous flow between them, allowing you to express your musicality and creativity.

- 𝟏𝟓:𝟎𝟎 - 𝟏𝟔:𝟎𝟎. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.
In this part we will learn and practice how to apply head movements while traveling, allowing us to intentionally synchronise or de-synchronise the head movement with the steps.

To close, we will learn a new movement or a variation of a movement the participants already know, using head movements.

Pat Géa is a Brazilian ballroom dance teacher specialized in Zouk, body expression and musical interpretation. She regularly teaches at national and international congresses and workshops. She was a member of Mimulus, the biggest and most famous ballroom dance company in Brazil.
Today she uses her knowledge and passion to help people develop an authorial, autonomous and free dance. Providing them tools to discover their own unique movements, style and body expression.
Pat is also a reference in co-creative dance, where both parties have an active role, keeping the Zouk structure. Come and dive into her methodology “Dance like a river”.
