Heinäkuun viimeinen keskiviikko on käsillä ja se merkitsee vielä yhtä Weird Wash -iltaa Uudella saunalla.
Keskiviikkona 30.7. klubilla esiintyy kaksi artistia, joiden musiikilliset polut liittyvät yhteen monella tavalla.
Liisa Tani aka Sir Liselot ja Günter Kivioja soittavat molemmat Ghost World -yhtyeessä ja ovat kontribuoineet toistensa projekteihin vuosien saatossa. Weird Wash tarjoilee kummaltakin erilliset soolosetit, joissa matkataan perustaviin vuosiin ja vaiheisiin ja palataan takaisin tähän päivään uusimman materiaalin pariin.
Sir Liselot esittää melankolisen hilpeän folkpop-levynsä Nämä kädet ei paljon suojaa.
Günter Kivioja palaa alkuun retrospektiivissään:
“Kun 15-vuotiaana aloitin soittohommat, niin tavoitteena oli päästä Metallican tai Outkastin basistiksi. Toisin kuitenkin kävi, nappasin kitaran ja yritin tehdä omia biisejä. Kahteenkymmeneen vuoteen on mahtunut kaikenlaisia viritelmiä, bändejä ja sävellysyrityksiä. Tämä on Gyntsä's Retrospective Show. Soitan tarkkaan valikoituja kappaleitani vuodesta 2005, tähän päivään asti. Setti sisältää sekä julkaisemattomia että julkaistuja kappaleita. One night only.”

Weird Wash on Tytti Roton kuratoima ja hostaama heinäkuinen keskiviikkoklubi ja osa Uuden saunan sykähdyttävää Paratiisi-klubikokonaisuutta.

The last Wednesday of July is here, and that means one more Weird Wash night at Uusi Sauna.
On Wednesday, July 30, the club will feature two artists whose musical paths are intertwined in many ways.
Liisa Tani aka Sir Liselot and Günter Kivioja both play in the band Ghost World and have contributed to each other’s projects over the years. Weird Wash will present separate solo sets from both artists, journeying through their formative years and phases, and returning to the present with their latest material.
Sir Liselot will perform songs from her melancholically cheerful folk-pop album "Nämä kädet ei paljon suojaa" ("These Hands Don’t Offer Much Protection").
Günter Kivioja returns to the beginning in his retrospective:
“When I started playing music at 15, my goal was to become the bassist for Metallica or Outkast. Things turned out differently—I picked up a guitar and started writing my own songs. In twenty years, I’ve gone through all kinds of setups, bands, and songwriting attempts. This is Gyntsä's Retrospective Show. I’ll be playing carefully selected tracks from 2005 to the present. The set includes both unreleased and released songs. One night only.” (Featuring hits from bands such as Creep, Rottweiler Boy, Chestburster, Black Monk, D.N.R., Hard Action, and Kissa)
Weird Wash is a Wednesday summer club curated and hosted by Tytti Roto, and part of Uusi Sauna’s vibrant Paratiisi club series.
The “Weird Wash” cleanses everything between your body and your ears.
The gigs are free, and the saunas are hot.
