Afrojazz Club palaa Alppipuiston lavalle heinäkuussa entistäkin värikkäämpänä ja sykähdyttävämpänä! Tämä koko perheelle suunnattu kesäjuhla kutsuu nauttimaan rytmeistä, kulttuurista ja yhteisestä ilosta puiston vehreyteen.
Tapahtumassa esiintyy tuttuja ja rakastettuja artisteja sekä uusia nuoria lupauksia, jotka tuovat lavalle raikasta energiaa ja luovaa voimaa. Päivän aikana nautitaan musiikista, joka juhlistaa afrikkalaista kulttuuria ja sen rikkaita vaikutteita eri puolilta afrodiasporaa. Lavalla kuullaan mm. afrojazzia, afrofunkia, afropopia, afrobeatia ja amapianoa.
Ohjelmassa on koko perheelle sopivia työpajoja, musiikkia ja tanssia, herkullista ruokaa sekä värikäs basaari, jossa voit tutustua paikallisten tekijöiden tuotteisiin. Tapahtuma on maksuton, perheystävällinen ja esteetön.

Afrojazz Club returns to Alppipuisto this summer more vibrant and exciting than ever! This joyful outdoor event invites families, youth and young adults to celebrate culture, rhythm and togetherness in the heart of Helsinki.
On stage you'll see familiar faces and beloved performers, as well as fresh young talents bringing new energy and creativity to the spotlight. The program highlights music and culture from across the African diaspora, from soulful afrojazz and funky afropop to energetic afrobeat and amapiano grooves.
The day also features fun and interactive workshops, dance activities, delicious food stalls, and a colorful bazaar filled with handmade and culturally inspired products.
The event is organized by Kulttuurikameleontit ry.

TAPAHTUMASTA / ABOUT THE EVENT:
Afrojazz Club goes Alppipuisto -tapahtumaa on järjestetty vuodesta 2018 ja sen vastuullinen tuottaja on Kulttuurikameleontit ry. Tapahtuma järjestetään nyt kahdeksatta kertaa osana Alppipuiston Kesän tapahtumasarjaa, Alppipuistossa. Vuosien varrella poikkeuksena vuosi 2020, jolloin Alppipuiston Kesän tapahtumat siirtyivät Suvilahden talveen Tiivistämöön striimitapahtumiksi (Helsinki-kanavalla). Vuonna 2018 toimintaa oli käynnistämässä myös Kilombo ry.
Tapahtuma toteutetaan pääosin Helsingin kaupungin tuella, myös esim. Musiikin Edistämissäätiö (MES) on tukenut tapahtumaa. Partnerina toimii Afrojazz Club. Yhteistyökumppaneina vuonna 2025 toimivat Yeesi ry, Pawa Creative Studios ja Afro Sunday.

Afrojazz Club goes Alppipuisto event has gathered people together since 2018 and the executive producer is Kulttuurikameleontit ry. For the eight time in the “Alppipuiston kesä” (free summer picnics in the Alppipuisto park in Helsinki) there will be a full afternoon consisting of live music of African origin in Alppipuisto. In the year 2020 “Alppipuiston Kesä” were transferred indoors to Tiivistämö, Suvilahti, as streamed events (in Helsinki-kanava). In the year 2018 one of the founders of the event was also Kilombo ry.
The event is organised mainly with the support from the City of Helsinki, also e.g. the Music Promotion Centre (MES) has supported the event. The main partner of the event is Afrojazz Club. Cooperation partners in the year 2025 are Yeesi ry, Pawa Creative Studios, Think Africa and Afro Sunday x Safari Sunday.
