After years away from home, cellist and composer Bryan Charles Wilson is finally returning to New Jersey for a deeply personal and powerful night of music. Now based in Vietnam, Bryan has spent the past several years immersing himself in the rich culture and music of Southeast Asia—blending Vietnamese traditions with his signature cello sound to create something entirely new.
This concert is more than just a performance—it’s a true homecoming. Join Bryan on Friday, July 11 at 8 PM at the Center for Modern Dance Education (84 Euclid Ave, Hackensack, NJ) as he shares the music he’s created abroad, reconnects with his roots, and reunites with the community that shaped him.

Bryan Charles Wilson, a cellist, composer, educator, and author from New Jersey, USA serves as a cultural ambassador for the cello, interweaving its melodies with a diverse range of global instruments, notably embracing traditional Vietnamese music while exploring an array of musical traditions. His compositions, showcased in albums like Oso Perezoso, Inner Peace, and Kaia, seamlessly blend classical roots with hip hop beats, ambient tones, and synthesizers, defying genre boundaries. As a composer and improviser for film, dance, commercials, and animation, Bryan's musical versatility enriches diverse creative projects. Founder of Bryan Wilson Cello Studio, he offers lessons in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and online, while his acclaimed books—Advanced String Jams, Beginner String Jams, and Cello Chords—stand as essential resources for aspiring and professional string players worldwide, fostering innovation and creativity.
